Depression Guides
Plain-language explanations of major depressive disorder and how it is recognised and managed.
In preparation. The guides in this section have not been written yet. Each outline shows the sections it will cover once written and medically reviewed.
These guides explain what major depressive disorder is as a clinical diagnosis, how that diagnosis is made and by whom, and how depression affects sleep and daytime energy. They are educational overviews. They are not a way to work out whether you have depression, and they are not a substitute for an assessment by a clinician.
