Crisis Resources

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

If you are thinking about suicide or self-harm, call or text 988. Someone answers 24 hours a day. You do not need to be a patient here, and you do not need to be certain you are in crisis to call.

Moda Clinic does not provide emergency or crisis care, and we do not staff or monitor any of the lines below. They are run by outside organizations and are listed here so they are easy to find. Every service on this page is free.

Warmlines

Varies by state

Warmlines are peer-staffed phone lines for people who are struggling but are not in immediate danger. Most are run at the state level, so coverage and hours differ depending on where you are.

What to expect when you call

A trained person answers and asks what is going on. Most calls end with talking, and with a plan for the next few hours or days. Calling does not commit you to treatment, and reaching out for yourself or for someone else is a reasonable thing to do at any point, not only at the worst one.

Phone numbers, hours and coverage are set by the organizations that run these services and can change. Their websites are linked above and carry the current details.
