ADHD is outside what this practice treats

Moda Clinic does not evaluate, diagnose or treat ADHD, in adults or in children. That is a statement about the boundaries of this practice. It is not a statement about you, and not a judgment about whether an assessment would find something.

We are a sleep and wakefulness practice. Assessing ADHD is its own discipline, and doing it properly takes history, collateral information and time that a practice built around sleep is not set up to provide.

Where to go instead

ADHD assessments are usually done by a psychiatrist, a psychologist, or a primary care clinician who takes that work on. Primary care is the ordinary place to start and can refer onward from there.

Going directly will be faster than going through us first.

One thing worth knowing

Poor sleep and ADHD can feel alike from the inside. Losing track of things, rereading the same paragraph, irritability and a short fuse are all things that not sleeping well produces on its own, and the two are easy to mistake for one another.

That does not mean one explains the other in your case. It means it is worth ruling out, and it is the kind of thing an assessment should account for.

If what you want is a sleep evaluation

If you are looking for an evaluation of your sleep rather than a particular medication, that is something this practice does. It is arranged separately from the intake questionnaire.

This page is public rather than shown only to people who reach it through the questionnaire. A practice that states its limits in private has not really stated them.
